OK. You should already know what to do with a sandbag. You put it down and let it sit there. It is meant to do nothing by weigh something down. Maybe it may feel like a bad relationship, in the terms it weighs things down, but try to be more positive.

Put a sandbag at each vertical base of your stand to secure it from tipping over. You may have a tripod or a truss vertical, or even a jack stand to hold down. The sandbag is the perfect tool you this. If you would prefer to use a bad relationship to keep this in place, you can try, but it will most likely be unreliable. Nothing is more reliable than a sandbag.

Rent a sandbag, use it, and get rid of it. You so not want to hold onto it and store it. It takes up space, and you need room for activities. Let us worry about keeping them ready to go for you at a moment’s notice. Sandbags are our life!
